hmm really????????
The death toll for Puerto Rico has reached 2,975. This is a far cry from the official statement of just 64. After 90 billion dollars worth of damage caused by the hurricane, it left Puerto Ricans 84 days without electricity, 64 days without water and 41 days without cellular telephone coverage BBC reports.
The initial number of 64 reflected those directly killed by the hurricane. The latest report conducted by George Washington University experts, reflect the 6 month aftermath in which American citizens died due to poor healthcare, lack of clean water, loss of power and more.
Trump has been criticized in how he handled the hurricane crisis in Texas and Florida, compared to his response to Puerto Rico. On Thursday Trump took to Twitter to declare that the Democrats were behind the fake number of deaths counted in the territory in an effort to make him look bad.
*internally (and externally) screaming at the complete lie and lack of empathy/accountability that is our President****
